Can I really order my panels on Monday and have them installed by Friday?
| Can I really order my panels on Monday and have them installed by Friday? |
Yes you can!!! As a custom workroom for many years, we always had to tell customers that they couldn't get custom window treatments constructed before holidays, graduations, weddings, parties, etc, unless they placed their order 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Customers were forced to have to do without or settle for less desirable treatments. Now, place your order and within days - not weeks - you can have your high-end silk panels installed. No more naked windows. |

| What makes Curtains-to-Go different from other ready-made silk panels? |
| Our curtain panels are constructed exactly like actual high-end, designer window treatments that would cost a fortune to have custom made. These drapery panels contain dressmaker details not found in your average store-bought curtain. In addition, they come standard with 100% premium lining and interlining. The best part is - they are in stock and ready for shipping. |

What is the difference between a puddle and a break?
| What is the difference between a puddle and a break? |
|
Our Curtains-To-Go panels are constructed to a 96" length, which will allow an option of how much of your panels you want on the floor. We recommend allowing the panels rest on the floor 1" or so for a break when used in a casual setting such as a den/family room, etc. (break is a term also used in describing the length of a man's pants as it rests on the top of the shoe). 3 or more inches would be considered a puddle, which is used, in more elegant settings such as bedrooms, dining rooms, etc. Click here for examples of different puddling techniques. |
What is the difference between a width and a panel?
| What is the difference between a width and a panel? |
A width is one piece of fabric that not been seamed together, measured from selvage to selvage (54", 45", 36", etc). A panel is a curtain that is made up of one or more widths of fabric. Our panels are made up of one, 54" width of fabric and after the side hems are done, the finished panel measures 47". |
Can Curtains-To-Go panels be drawn for privacy or to shut out light?
| Can Curtains-To-Go panels be drawn for privacy or to shut out light? |
It is possible to draw and open the panels; however, it is not recommended because the relaxed style of the decorative headers do not allow for them to go back into shape automatically as in the case of pinch pleats. They will require fixing and fluffing each time; therefore, we recommend another form of privacy or light control to be used in addition to the panels such shutters, shades or wooden blinds. |
Why is lining and interlining necessary?
| Why is lining and interlining necessary? |
|
Several reasons. 1) High-end quality window treatments are always lined and interlined to prevent the colors of your fabric from being seen on the outside of your window. 2) The silk is complimented and made more luxurious and fuller when paired with a good quality, 100% cotton lining and interlining. 3) In addition, our opinion is that silk should never be used on windows without lining and interlining which aides in protection from the harmful UV rays that will destroy silk within weeks. When lined and interlined, damage is usually limited to only the edges of silk panels. |
Where are Curtains-To-Go panels made?
| Where are Curtains-To-Go panels made? |
Curtain-To-Go panels are made in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, by a large, reputable workroom. Not China or India or some other far away country. We make frequent trips to the workroom to monitor production ensuring every panel receives the same high-end attention such as matching thread, leaded weights, double 4" hems and decorative piping along the top edge. |
What if I need more fullness for large windows?

Easy. Just order two panels per side, instead of one. Hanging the last drapery pin of the first panel and the first pin of the second panel on the same ring will give the appearance of a wider panel and give you the fullness you desire. Click here to see an example. |
